Outside of a few municipalities in other states, the bulk of tequila production happens in the Mexican state of Jalisco.
Tequila is so often considered alongside citrus-forward ingredients, but it can also shine in boozy, spirit first cocktails like the Oaxaca old fashioned or even Negroni riffs. This made us want to create a seasonally inspired cocktail that moves the spotlight from the bold citrus flavors back to the tequila itself along with complimentary flavors.
